Haters gonna hate, block and run

~ Enjoy this 5 min read ~

We all have heard “haters gonna hate” and I got a taste of it just recently. Some time ago, I posted on social media about my choice not to have children and how much I love life this way.

One would think that’s not a problem at all, because
1| It is my life, my choice and my consequences to carry
2| I am not hurting or impacting nor in the slightest even influencing anyone with this choice
3| In fact, it is beneficial if I don’t have children because I simply wouldn’t be capable (in different ways) of giving them what they need
– so why creating more traumatised children in this world?

People though seem to not appreciate any of these simple facts, and as the internet goes, people come running with their assumptions, opinions, and well – mansplaining (sorry dear men who don’t partake in this weird thing but you know many of your peers can’t, for the sake of it, shut up).

Haters are mad fans in disguise

One of my favorites was that guy who explained that I do this only for engagement and strategies …he then blocked me before I was able to respond.
So mature. very demure.

Of course, this guy has never met me, never talked to me nor messaged me previously – but without a doubt he knew everything about my life choices, intentions and my social media presence.  On the other hand, I had a lot of support (YEAH!), too. More-so than the ‘haters’. But that’s not what I wanted to talk about with you today. The point of this is, that when you live in your truth, you may as well piss some people off. Whether you like it or not (I actually don’t like that, but it is what it is.)

The same happens when you set (and keep!) boundaries (especially as a woman, really that pisses people off, haha), when you align with your core values and remove what or who doesn’t, and when you speak up for what’s right… for you.

Haters gonna hate – keep going anyway

If there was a strategy for me to be highly in integrity with my soul, in alignment with my truth while visible online AND everyone liking me…
I’d take it (thanks RSD, haha).

In the end that is just an illusion, we can’t be liked by everyone, and it would probably be super exhausting if we were. Instead, we want to align as much as we can with our soul and live in integrity with our core values.

So this week, I’d love for you to reflect on what your core values actually are … What is it you would rather lose everything for than to be out of integrity about?  I know Truth is one of those for me.

What are the 3-5 values for you? Once you have them, ask yourself: “Where in your life are you currently not in (full) integrity with your core values?”

Then go and clean it up.

Seeking Truth

– Weekly(ish) explorations about life, death and the truth between it all

In these letters, sent to your inbox whenever inspiration hits me,
I’ll explore the connection between the neuroscience, psychology, grounded spirituality and philosophy that determines our human potential and the deep desire to live a life of freedom.

I will talk about death and the metaphysical, too so if that creeps you out, I suggest to stay away.

My goal is to share my truth about life, death and everything in between – and help you ask the right questions to find your own.

My writings are a mix of sharing knowledge, wisdom and experiences while questioning the status quo and hoping to inspire you to question your own way of living each and every day, so you too can create a truthful life.

You don’t like me – and it shows.

It's incredibly fascinating to observe how people interact with me in any type of group interaction. Not necessarily in a good way. Whether at an in-person meetup, a WhatsApp group or a public thread... The signs are often subtle, but crystal clear: People don't like...
